Supplied as zinc sulfate monohydrate (ZnSO₄·H₂O), it delivers 35.5% actual zinc and 16.5% sulfur in a single application — among the highest zinc concentrations of any dry source, about 54% more zinc per pound than heptahydrate forms.
Zinc is an essential micronutrient and a cofactor for hundreds of plant enzymes involved in growth-hormone synthesis, protein formation, and carbohydrate metabolism. Deficiency shows as interveinal yellowing, small leaves, and shortened, rosetted growth, and is most common in high-demand crops such as pecans, citrus, corn, beans, and stone fruit. The sulfur supports amino acid and chlorophyll formation, covering two nutrient needs at once. It dissolves cleanly for foliar sprays, soil application, and fertigation.
Confirm zinc deficiency with a soil test before applying, since zinc accumulates in soil and over-application can cause toxicity. Zinc sulfate is most effective in acidic to neutral soils; for foliar use, spray well-hydrated plants in early morning or late afternoon and test a small area first. Keep zinc out of stormdrains and waterways.
